KPJ to build new hospital in Muar

JOHOR BARU: KPJ Healthcare Bhd will expand its operation on healthcare services with a new hospital in Muar scheduled to be built next year.

Puteri Specialist Hospital executive director and chief executive officer Khairun Ahmad said the new hospital will have consultation, physiotherapy and other services.

"The public will have an easy access of healthcare services with our expanded network. The quality of service is at par with other KPJ hospitals," he said during a Hari Raya get-together at Puteri Specialist Hospital recently.

He said other than Puteri Specialist, KPJ also has Johor Specialist Hospital, Kluang Utama Specialist Hospital and Pasir Gudang Specialist Hospital.

Khairun said the get-together, called Majlis Riang Raya Hari Raya Puteri 2013, was held to celebrate the festive season with KPJ's corporate clients, government servants, patients and associates.

"Besides celebrating the festive season, the programme is also our approach to foster good rapport and helping out the underprivileged."

About 40 orphans from Rumah Anak-Anak Yatim Ar-Rayyan had also joined in the celebration.
